MY WORK

I was a professional actor and clown for 30 years in Chicago.

I also had fellowships and guest lecture and teaching artist positions all over the country and shared my deep love for story and collaboration with college and professional students.

I lost my stomach and heart for it in recent years, but the need to put on funny hats and talk in funny voices and fall down has come back, and I want to do it again. So badly.

I am in Western Massachusetts now and seeking collaborators to make some theater, some clown, some performance art.

I think we all have alot on our minds and hearts and it would be great to share it with an audience.

You want to make a thing with me?

HEAVEN’S A STAGE IN CHICAGO

Heaven's a Stage In Chicago is a song I wrote about being an actor with no money, big dreams, and lots of dead friends. I believe I have lost an unusually large number of people in my life. Between the AIDS crisis and the COVID crisis, and all of the other unfortunate accidents, cancers and suicides, along with the lack of proper healthcare in the United States, the list is longer than I wish it was. Heaven's A Stage made its debut at the Neo Futurist Theater in Chicago in 2016 in the play POPWAITS. The video below was filmed on the last night the Straw Dog Theater stood before the wrecking ball reduced it to rubble so they could put up some multi million dollar condos. So much heartbreak in this capitalist bullshit nightmare. Keep singing.

Prepper Guide

Below is an assortment of youtube videos of me putting on funny hats, talking in funny voices and falling down. I am slowly starting to get back in to my work, and look forward to facing this time of war and plagues with courage, integrity, weirdness and whimsy.
